  • Notes
    • Henry Hoover was a well-known citizen of Licking County and is accredited in the annals of the County as one of the founders of Johnstown. He reared a family of 11 children whose descendents are still in Johnstown and immediate vicinity. All came to Ohio from Fayette County, Pennsylvania, where the family first settled when they came from Switzerland to America before the Revolution. They were Quakers.
