  She was born Aug. 16, 1911 in Orland, Ohio, and lived in Elyria since 1934. She was a graduate of Galion High School in Galion. Mrs. Leppien was formerly employed at Elyria Methodist Village, retiring in 1968. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Elyria. Survivors include son Alan R. Leppien of Elyria; sister, Ruth DeFluiter of Colonelsville, N.C.,; and one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Leppien, in 1966; and sister, Esther E. Violet, in 1909. Friends may call Friday, 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 1:30 pm. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. The Rev. Peter Mealwitz will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial park, Amherst Township.
