  ISLAND FALLS and BANGOR - Jeffrey D. Townsend, 61, died September 29, 2016 in Bangor. He was born May 17, 1955 in Island Falls, the son of Wallace and Ann (Violette) Townsend. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in Vietnam. Jeff loved to landscape and gardening, animals, playing his guitar, But most of all he loved his wife, children and being a grampy. Besides his mother of Island Falls he is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Wood) Townsend of TN; a son, Jason Townsend of Bangor and his daughter, Emma; a daughter, Rachel Townsend and Scott of Smyrna and their children, Breyauna April Lynn Jacobs and Joseph Jeffrey Thomson; 2 brothers, Tracy of Washington and Garth of Island Falls; He was predeceased by his father and a daughter, April.
