      Raymond Latta Violett, son of Reason and Sarah Latta Violett, grew up in Columbus andwhen a very young boy he was a news boy for the Columbus Dispatch, employed also with "Sells Brothers Circus" and as he grew older became their Advance Agent. On two occasions, two successive years he came to see me in Anderson, Indiana, while in Advance Agent's duty buying food and securing location. Later in the 1890's he was with a fine Minstrel Show. I enjoyed this very fine young man. He was well known in these years in Columbus as the Ticket Salesman in the Hartman Theatre, was with them a number of years and still employed there at the time of his death.
